Will the Britax Child seat fit in my vehicle?
The child seat installation or fit into a vehicle varies due to vast differences among vehicle seats and belts. Whenever possible, it is recommended to try a child seat out before buying.
What unique features do Britax child seats have to improve the fit into my vehicle?
Lock-Offs are built in for both the rear and forward facing model they aid in providing a secure installation by holding the seat belt in place to minimize the amount of movement of the child seat before your belt retractor locks.
Britax's patented Versa-Tether allows child seats to be tethered in both the forward and rear-facing mode. Tethering tightens the installation fit and reduces the side to side movement by anchoring the child seat to another point on the vehicle.
Where should I install my child seat?
The rear seat is generally the safer position for anyone, because the occupant is farther away from the point at which a head-on crash (the most common type of crash) occurs. Check your vehicle owner's manual to make sure the seat belts, seating positions, and vehicle seats are all compatible to work with the child seat.
Who can tell me if my child seat is installed correctly?
Follow your child seat and vehicle instructions carefully. A Certified Child Safety Seat Installer can examine your installation, give you tips on the proper use of the seat, and verify you are installing it correctly. Contact Cloud 9 Sleep Shop for the Certified installer in Northern Arkansas!
When should I turn my seat forward facing?
The seat can be turned forward facing only when the child is both 20 lbs. and at least one year old. Until at least one year of age, the child's neck "bone" is too soft to protect the spinal cord.
How should the vehicle belts/harness fit my child?

What is a tether?
It is a strap that is attached to the top of the child seat on one end and the other end is anchored to the vehicle's metal structure, creating a firmly installed child seat.
Why should I use a tether?
The use of a tether improves the performance of a child seat in a crash by reducing its forward and side to side movement. Tethers, along with seat belts and snug harnesses, assist in reducing head injuries which is the leading cause of injury to children in a crash.

What Britax child seats come with a tether?
Handle With Care, Roundabout, and Freeway Plus come with a standard tether. Belt positioning boosters such as the Roadster do not need a tether because the shoulder belt is anchored directly in the vehicle.
What is the law regarding tethers?
The law does not require consumers to use tethers on a child seat. It is required for the child restraint manufacturers to include a tether for all forward facing toddler/convertible child seats manufactured after Sept. 1, 1999.
